How You Can Get Involved
 

What can I do?

     We are always in need of volunteers to help us with various tasks and projects.  Whether it be hammering nails, helping out in the office, fundraising, assisting with mailings, or various special projects, we can use your help. 

     If you have construction experience and would like to get involved with a building project, here are some opportunities:

• House Captain

• Masons, electricians, plumbers,

• Mid-week volunteers, and

• People who are handy with tools

• Painters, carpenters, landscapers.

     We are currently preparing to begin construction on a new house in Arrington.  As soon as the well and septic are in, our Volunteer Coordinator will be calling our volunteer workers to schedule them for work.. If you have any construction experience or would like to learn more, call our local office at 434-361-0201 or send us an e-mail at info@nelsonhabitat.org.

     NCHFH is not just looking for construction volunteers.  We are always in need of individuals willing to devote their time and energy toward various tasks and projects.  Here are a couple of our current needs:

• Special Projects Volunteer, and

• Office Volunteer (i.e. typing, filing, etc.).
